I held you in my arms for hours, days and weeks and it feels like it was just yesterday. You are growing into a beautiful and intelligent young woman and it brings me so much joy to be a part of this process! I just bought Marjani’s birthday present. Marjani turns 10 on December 10th. It seems like it was just yesterday that she was this little bundle, snuggling up against my chest. I would stay up with her all night long, my Harry Potter book on one side and her bottle on the other, as I held her in my arms and comforted her whenever she cried.

I never told anyone this because it would totally ruin my awesome street cred… but I would always sing her to sleep with Sinatra songs. She is growing up to be such a beautiful young lady, so smart, so full of life! I am secretly a big softie, but just don’t tell anyone!

I can’t believe that she’s almost 10 already!
